Love it.

I LOVE IT.may i first pay my respects to Scatman John(Rest In Peace). He truly was a legend. This song is a good tribute. I Loved the quotes, the melody, and the choice of instruments. However, I still have my parts i need to contribute to. Im really sick, so im just gonna sum it up in a scorechart.
Melody= 10/10
Choice of instruments=9/10
Scatman John=20/10
Percussion=10/10
breakdown=10/10
Background melody=8/10
if i average this up without Scatman's score it would be around 9/10, but since he is in this song 10/10.
I Have a feeling this is 3xosc? I Think i can hear it. For winter can you use z3ta+? MY birthday is in winter, and that would be an awesome birthday present.
And if you need any help on the winter melody try Ice Cap Zone from sonic 3. You can alter it enough to call it original. But its your choice :D. Good luck on future songs!

Thanks so much, man! I am very glad that you like this song, so much, and that you love Scatman. He was amazing. I'm very glad that you enjoy this song so much, that really encourages me to hear that you love it! And yes, every single synth in this song is 3xOsc! I love 3xOsc's, they are really versatile. But sadly, I don't have z3ta :( The Ice Cap melody is a great idea! I love that song, it's one of the best Sonic songs I think. Thanks a lot for your review even though you're sick. I always appreciate your reviews! God bless you my friend!

sweet

I love how this came out. The only thing that really got me is that not one of my favorites from you are in here. X(. But i cant vote you down for that because it was your choice as to put what in this song. You did a nice job making this megamix and everything came out perfectly. I Cant believe Roses are Red didnt make the list though. ANYWAY, try putting more effects to the synth as it didnt match up to the powerful kick. The reason im saying to not turn down the kick is because i liek my kicks to overpower :D. But yea thats all i got to say. Waiting to hear more from you so hurry up and make another masterpiece! :D

Haha thanks and yea I'm workin' on it :P

Hmm....

Well this is interesting. First when the intro is finished it kinda mashes together. Im not saying i didnt like it, but they seemed like they were fighting more than they were in harmony. The background and the snths i mean. The background needs a different preset because it doesnt complement the lead. The first background seemed like a chiptune, and considering that ur lead is an odd one it needs to complement it. Like soul eater, if you seen the anime. Sous need to match soul wavelengths when they become a Meister and weapon set. The background and lead needs to match up in some form to become a song. Also the background dint seem to have a set of match chords. Can you try to fix that because it made me almost say no to the song. But despite all that im writing here thats only part of the song. The scat part was epic. KEEP IT! Also try adding a scat sample inside of your song as you play it for it to actually be an obvious tribute to John Scatman(Rest In Peace). Overall its good, but needs some minor Tweaking.

Wow, long review! I appreciate it though. I will think about changing the bass, because I thought it might sound a little weird. But that doesn't mean I will! This far in the song, I will probably keep it how it is already, but I value your opinion nonetheless. But I don't think I know what you meant about the chords. I'm pretty sure they're fine. But I'll give it another listen. And I'm glad you like the scat part, lol!! Scatman John was a great man, he really and truly was. I will miss him. Anyhow, I am glad that you liked it overall! Thanks a bunch for the long review, I am always glad to see when people put a lot of thought into their reviews! Thanks again my friend, and God bless you!

SWEET!

I knew you would make it again!
ANYWAY, lets get to the review. You know how i am XD.
The kick...yes. Just perfect. Nice filtering! The beginning lead i wasnt fond of, but the melody made me forget about it. Im gonna say this once and only once. USE FRUITY PHASER! ITS AWESOME! I cant express how all trance songs need it. I Want you bassline now XD. I have so much trouble making one, so im gonna ask if i could borrow yours. Please? Yea, but a 10/10. I should make it nine because of no Fruity Phaser, but im not mean XD. No really great job!

AikaMusic responds:

Haha just because you think its awesome doesn't mean i do :P and sure thing which bassline? theres the standard off beat and then the fast one.

Man i have been gone WAAY to long.

WAts up Opaix. Rememba me? Anway, this doesnt feel like house. I cant describe it but maybe try lifting the entire song up a couple of octaves and changing the noted here and there.

lol if you read the description, it's supposed to sound the way it does XD
but thanks for the review! :) greatly appreciated from you. i love your constructive criticism :D

cool

But that first synth that came in at the beginning just through me off. It was good when everything else came in but when its alone its hell to my ears. The entire melody composition was good, and i loved the entire thing.

thx man :)

There we go.

I like your choice of plugins. The delay was good for a song like this. The kick wasn't flat, but it wasn't over powering. Dont worry though, i have a bad habit of overpowering my kicks and im not satisfied unless others overpower there too. Not your fault. This is a good song. The reverse thing(Idk what that was) kinda turned me off you know. The second lead could be sharper you know. Just a bit. I like it though so it really doesn't matter. Good job. P.S. Could you fix up stormcaller? That song had some good potential and i would love to hear it with ur skill now.

Kieda responds:

Yah I guess I could do that someday, it was somewhat good and could definitely be better.

Thanks for the review, seems that I shouldn't use that reverse snare anymore!

Could be improved.

The kick was too flat. For a song like thin u have to use something with bass on it. If you used the delay bank then nice job, but u need reverb, or a better set of settings because again the song seemed dead. I suggest a compressor if you have one. Also this is only useful if you use FL studio 9. I Can help with the song be adding the things i listed and if you want to u can send me the flp so i can help.

Kieda responds:

I made this pretty long time ago and I have been improving whole the time =].

Thanks for offering to help tho.

FIRST XD

Pretty cool for a chiptune.
The kick didnt feel 8 bit though, more like 16 bit. The melody is cool. The song entirely isnt my safety zone of music, but i can tell when a good song is near. This is gonna be hit, so good luck man!

Xayro responds:

The kick is an actual sample. Same with the guitar. It's not a true chiptune track. But infused with Chiptune.

This should be called through the tempest!

i love the melody. Its simple, yet entrancing.
I Love it. The kick complemented it so well, and the pad was just beautiful. I was NOT a fan of the dark bit, but idc. The entire song was epic still.

durn responds:

Heheh, you're right, it is kinda a calm-before-the-storm at the beginning and then a dangerous whirlwind of terror in the center! :D lol, thanks for the review, man.
